It’s easy to get high on your title. You’re a team lead – badass. You worked hard to get here. You put in late nights, you focused on the goal, and someone somewhere decided you’d make a great leader. This is wonderful.

It’s a common mistake to confuse this with being better than your teammates. You are nothing without your team. It’s their dedication to the work that gets you all across the finish line. You’re here as their servant leader to make sure they have everything they need to do their work and nothing more. You’re not a king or even a prince.

Stay humble and it will serve you well.
